Screen Separating

My M8s screen began separating in the middle - bowed upward at the midway between yop and bottom of screen. Sprint said it was physical damage and would not repair it despite having paid insurance for >2 years - had to go through insurance.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a defect in the phone itself? (The screen is not cracked or damaged.)

Post a picture of the damage, which will give us a better idea of what it might be.

A picture would not show the 1mm convexity/separation across the center of the screen (midway up along the sides of the screen and across the screen). I took the phone to Sprint and merely looking at the phone, the representative said that I had to replace under Assurion - they do not replace screens. I had paid for insurance to Sprint for 2+ years and when needed, Sprint was not able to repair the device! Boo!!
I went to "Plan B" and leased an unlocked iPhone 7 from Apple. That way, I have flexibliity to change to any US carrier if need be. Also, the store set up iCloud backup of the entire phone - android sorely needs something similar!
