Help Screen shutoff annoyance

I don't know if anyone else has been experiencing this, but my RAZR screen will shut off after about 3 seconds of not being touched. I have the timeout for 15 seconds...

It's extremely annoying when I'm trying to read a web page and I can't, because after 5 seconds of reading, the screen goes black! Pocket detection is OFF, and has never been on, and the timeout is 15 seconds.

I have to "wake" the device by pushing the volume rocker and it goes back to the screen I was previously on before shutoff.

Anyone else have this issue?? What's the fix??

I had an odd issue where the screen would turn itself back on....and stay on. It killed the battery in 3 hours while it was sitting in my car. Since then, I wiped my SD card and that seems to have done the trick. However, I still get a weird issue where the screen will turn right back on after being shut off, but it then shuts itself off after about 3 seconds.

Do you have in pocket detection on? I did and it caused this to happen. I turned it off and all is well.

Change from 15 secs to 2 hours and see if it still shuts off.
