Hi since updating to 2.1 i cannot get the auto screen timeout to work i have tried all the settings under screen timeout with no joy has any one else had simmler problems or any solutions to this problem.

Not sure if it's the same thing but mine would time out after 30 seconds but if I pressed on the power button it would not.
Reason I did a backup before updating to2.1 after restoring settings it caused the problem. Did a factory reset and all is well now.
I guess there are some settings in 1.6 it didn't like restored to 2.1

I had an issue like that, couldn't figure out what was going on after my update.
I had tried switching off and back on again, but still the screen timeout didn't work, eventually i figured out it was one of my apps (and for the life of me i can't remember which one it was) that was stopping the phone from going to sleep, so after I killed the process it went back to normal.
