Root Screen times out too quickly and won't turn back on easily

Hi.

My LG Esteem rooted with CWM, and using plague kernel, suddenly goes black (sleep mode or time out) a lot quicker, and stays black for longer when I am using the phone.
Sometimes I have to toggle the power switch a few times, until the "turn phone off" come on and I hit "cancel" just to get back to a lit screen.
Any ideas?

I have never heard of it suddenly going black unless you need to just change your screen off timer..

but i also have the problem sometimes where the screen doesnt want to come back on, just the softkeys light up but no screen.

Change the screen time and get an app called "seeder" for faster response times, generally.

It isn't doing it everytime for me, maybe once every 40 screen ons. started last summer sometime.

That is the same problem I have. soft keys come on but no screen.

Which version are you on? Zvd c or b?

Used to happen to me, but i had my minimum cpu speed set too low. If you did that, set min to 245.
