Screen tinter app?

my cousin has a blackberry and he has this app where you can only see the things on the phones screen if your look directly straight on at it. if your off to the side it just looks like the screen is off. any help?

You can try screen filter.

That's not an app, its probably an actual screen protector that only works straight on. There is no app that can change the direction of the pixels in your lcd screen. You can certainly use that Screen Filter app to lower your brightness, but you can still see it from the side.

Sounds like a polarising filter to me. But that would be a physical/optical filter. Some film overlaying the screen or so. Not software.
