Screen turns on Mommetarily

When the screen is off my S3 screen turns on for maybe a second or less every once in a while. I think this has only been happening recently and could possibly linked to JB upgrade or maybe an app that I have installed.

Anyone have a resolution?

have you been receiving notifications? my screen turns on for about a second whenever an sms comes in

I have all text messages blocked by Verizon so I do not get any SMS

mine turns on every hour I think. Maybe not every hour. But at like 3:00, 7:00, etc. dunno why

Mine is not on the hour

It does not appear to have anything to do with the receipt of email.

pretty sure my problem was caused by doggcatcher. There's an option that's defaulted to keep the screen on when it's downloading.
