Help screen unlock opens apps

Lurker
had my s3 for a few days now, and noticed this kind of problem: every now and then when i unlock the screen (connect the dots), it pops out random apps, like messages folder three times and contacts, even when i haven't used them. so when i unlock the screen i have to close bunch of apps before i get back to home screen.

anyone else having this kind of issues? how can i fix those or have i to wish that it fixes on next update?

I have the same problem, when the screen unlocks sometimes apps open, then the back key seems to cycle through every app I've ever opened on the phone. Be interested to hear if you get an answer to this.

I must admit its not an issue for me. But Somewhat in relation, if you have apps on your lock screen and swype that app up, once you've entered your pattern or pin, that app will be open to save you (apparently) half a second or so.

When I swipe to unlock the phone, it does not default to the any of the home screens, it generally goes to the phone log, contacts list, and even the message list.

Anyone have any advice for fixing this?

Shock horror, they got back to me and suggested a hard reset of the phone, (see below). Seems to be the stock answer for everything, that's what HTC told me to do when my phone kept rebooting when it got warm, eventually they put a new motherboard in which fixed the problem, at least this is not as fustrating.

We are sorry to hear about this issue you are experiencing on your new Samsung handset. It is most likely a case of a minor software confliction that is causing this issue to occur. We would recommend you resetting the device to resolve this issue. You can reset the device by going to Settings->Backup->Factory Data Reset. Please be advised that any stored data would be removed when performing a reset on the handset.
If you require any further assistance, please contact Samsung again and we will be more than happy to help.
