Help Screen won't recognize my touch/phantom touches

Praphul

Lurker
Had my S8 for near 3 years and now my screen will not work properly. My screen will either not respond to my touch of the screen, or there will be phantom touches. I've tried hard reseting and soft resetting. None of it works. Tried Samsung support and got 0 answers. Hoping I could try out here, and see if I could get an answer.

did you drop it? liquid damage?

if a factory reset did not work, then it is most likely a hardware issue. maybe it is time for a new phone. or get it fixed.

Yeah, I think its hardware too. So, how much on average does replacing the screen cost?

Sorry I'm on my phone so it's a bit difficult to link, but checkout ifixit.com if you ate a dyi kind of person. They even have a guide you can follow to replace the screen.

As far as taking it in..... not really sure what the cost would be.
