Screen won't rotate

My screen no longer rotates into landscape when viewing photos or using the keyboard. I have tried to recalibrate the G sensor ( in safe mode too) but the calibration process aborts and the problem persists. Anyone know of any solutions to this?
 
Same thing happened to me, it's a hardware fault unfortunately. :(

I had to get mine replaced. Others have said the same thing, if the safe mode trick doesn't work, I'd recommend giving HTC/your network a call.
 
Happy to report I managed to fix this by doing a factory reset. Experimented with deleting apps first and even used an auto-rotate app as a make do. Now after the reset everything is working fine. I will monitor from hereon to isolate what (if anything) causes the issue should it arise again.
Delighted I do not have to send it away because that is always a lottery!
 
I spoke too soon, it's gone wrong again although bizarrely the G-sensor callibration now works. Looks like it will have to go back after all! :-(
