Help screenshot not working on android 11 - samsung a40

power + volume down doesnt take screenshot anymore.


how do i get this function back?


screen swipe gesture is too difficult for me.

edit: solution. just press power + volume down. dont hold it.

Use a better screenshot app.
The one I use allows you to pull down your Quick Settings menu and touch the screenshot tile.

It doesn't get any easier that that.

from all i'm seeing....nothing has changed on your a40. it is still power + vol down......you hold both buttons down until it takes the screenshot. why does this not work for you? what happens when you try this? does it do anything?

yeah the hand swipe works best for me.

Power+volume down does still work on Android 11. So if that no longer works for you that it something Samsung have done, not an Android 11 change.

Danny's suggestion should also work for A11. If the "screen swipe" is the thing that lets you take a screen shot from the recent apps overview then that doesn't play well with all 3rd party launchers ("doesn't play well with 3rd party launchers" is sadly an ongoing story with Google, who seem not to care if they undermine a key advantage over the competition - I'm using the Android 9 style navigation because the current "gestures" haven't worked properly on my Pixel since some time last year with any launcher other than Google's own, which is one of the worst launchers ever written).
