Has anyone figured out how to take a screen shot with the nexus 5x? I've tried every combination of volume and lock bottom possible

i googled and found this...

"Simultaneously press the power button and the volume down key. The trick is to hold down buttons at the exact same time until the screen blinks."

Thanks! It's the same as with my old N5 you just have to hold it down longer than on the old device lol

I was wondering about this. How difficult is it to get a hold of the device and do this? The placement of the two buttons to do it (both volume and power buttons on the same side) seems like it would be much more difficult to do.

It's not that bad. I had the same placement on my Moto X. You get used to it.

Depending on what you want to do with the screenshot, you can use Now On Tap to take a screenshot. Hold down the home button until Now On Tap appears, then tap the share button.

Since I didn't Root my 5X yet, I found an app to make it easier.

I downloaded the Free version 1st to make sure it worked without Root.
Now I just turn it on & shake it. Worked fine, so I bought it.

It's not that bad. I had the same placement on my Moto X. You get used to it.

It's the same on my 1st gen Moto G. I just hold it in my left hand with my left index finger on the power and my right index finger on the vol down. I have also placed the phone in landscape and used the same fingers. It works pretty much the same both ways for me.
