Samsung Galaxy Ace."Small" SD card physically located in the body of the phone; Larger "Adaptor" card which came with the kit. Please explain significance of each so that I can figure out where my gallery photos have gone & for future use when transferring photos from phone to laptop.I am very much a learner starting from scratch & needing to know the basics.
Thanks. Clive.

The large adapter is just so you can read the micro SD card with a laptop or desktop that only has a full size SD card reader. As long as your camera app is set to save files to the external SD card, all photos will be saved to that micro SD card. When you want to transfer, just slide the micro SD into the adapter and insert the adapter into a laptop/desktop SD card reader.

Most Samsung phones store photos in a folder called DCIM/Camera.

If you use a free cloud storage app called DropBox you can set it up to send all your phone photos to it's cloud storage automatically via WiFi or 3G/4G. Then just open DropBox on your computer and transfer the photos from the cloud to your desktop/laptop. No need to remove your SD card!
