Help SD card connection issues

Occasionally my Samsung S4 phone is telling me it's lost connection with the SD card. If I take it out and clean it up with a cotton swab and alcohol
it works again for a few days. Likely its the connection rather than dirt.
Wondering if there is anything easy enough that I can do to fix this.

Could be your SD is dying. How long have you had it, because flash storage can and does eventually wear out.

Try another card, if the problem persists the connectors on your phone's mainboard might be bad. Otherwise it's on the card.
