SD card constant notifications bug

My point was i am using a screen off n lock app, but mine has not suffered the problem, so i don't think its anything to do with that app.

As Jason said, if its even the same app. There isn't just 1. Theres a lot. It definitely fixed my issue by removing it. Even today all day not one issue with the sd card. Not saying its a fix for everyone but its a thought. It might be some other different app causing it for someone else. I'll have to find the exact app I was using.

Yea I was using a different one but I did also try that one. I didn't seem to have the sd issue but it still gave me issues with the fingerprint lock screen.

After exchanging the phone on Saturday, I have not had one notification other than the normal reboot one. Seems to clearly point to some defective models or at least ones with flaky contacts fitting.

I was having the same issue with my Galaxy S7 Edge. SD card notification would pop up randomly, without a reboot or turning the phone on.. I'd notice also that the SD card seemed to quit working. So I'd have to unmount, then mount the SD card and everything would be fine again. Finally last week, the SD card quit working altogether. Couldn't even be read using my laptop.. So I ordered a 64 GB (SanDisk Extreme microSDXC UHS-I card) and have had no problem at all. The previous card was a Samsung microSDXC UHS-I card, 65 GB. I think it was probably defective from the beginning and the cause of the repeating SD card notifications on my phone.

Mine only pops up after rebooting the phone, which admittedly is a bit of a nuisance in itself - yes, I know there is an SD card in the phone... I put it there! When I swipe it away it stays gone, though. I'm using a Samsung 64GB Evo SD card.

I've used SanDisk for 20 years in my photography business and it has never failed me... I will only use SanDisk.

Not a hardware issue. I just upgraded my i9300 to 6.0.1 and now have the dreaded sd card notification...
No biggie really, it only happens whenever you power off your phone, swipe it off and it won't do it anymore until you power off again. And how many of you power off your phone very much? I'll go a week before I do mine... on Sundays when I'm in Church.

I also got the issue after an update. A little while later the card stopped working altogether. Even tho it still works in another device. Got a new card and don't get the notification anymore.

Thanks Jack - you were right - just needed to swipe the notification left. I am sure the Almighty would be just as happy if you used the Do Not Disturb function. Just pull down twice.

I first experienced this with an LG G3, Android 6.0, with a ScanDisk Ultra 64GB. There seems to be no problem with any apps using the disk, just this message keeps appearing on the notifications bar.
I've had a couple of HTC One M7 with no problems.
Next I had a Samsung S7 Edge, Android 7.0, which did not exhibit the problem. Treated myself to the S8, also Android 7.0, and carried the SD card over from the S7 and now the problem appears on the S8.
Odd. Very odd.
