SD-card damaged app icons on homescreen unknown

Hi!

Due to a malfunctioning SD-card, and with several apps moved there, I now have a lot of icons on my home screen that say "loading" (I use Go Launcher).

My question: Is there any way to know what app each icon belongs to?

No, I don't think there is. I guess you will need to go through each app in App Manager, check which ones you've moved to SD card, restore them to internal memory and then shift them back to SD card. It may be worth backing up your SD card to prevent further hassle. My S4 used to eat SD cards. If you haven't already done it see if Windows can repair the card, it generally can

Problem is, the card is damaged and cannot be accessed at all, not even on other systems (windows), it doesn't even try to connect. So there's no way for me to shift the apps back to the internal memory.

How does Android know which icon goes to which app?

In that case you will need to start from scratch. Android OS will know where the files go but I doubt you will be able to locate the paths and will almost certainly require root access to reveal them

Well, I DO have root access.... ;)

I'm not that unaccustomed in dwelling with systems, as I've been Windows tech with forensics education.
