Help SD-Card Folders.

Pebble

Lurker
I've checked the forum's but cant find a definitive solution to this problem,
I've made 4 folder's on my SD-Card after a format:

alarms
music
notifications
ringtones

And have copied my mp3's to each of these folder's, Obviously this is far from ideal. If i remove e.g. the notifications folder i'm no longer able to set up a sound for message's execpt the one's built into the phone.

Is there a folder i can make which will make all my mp3's available no matter what option's i am editing.

noob Android user.

From my understanding of what your question is:
You want to know if you can create a single folder which will make all your mp3 songs available to choose as an alarm, notification, ringtone etc. Am I right?
Well if thats your question the answer is: no

The most you can do is what you have read that other have done:
Make a folder called audio, create three folder and name them alarm, ringtones, notifications... blah, blah, blah, you know the rest
The system has split its tones into categories - alarms, notifications, ringtones, ui
Since its been split i doubt you will be able to create a single folder which groups all of them together. Do you understand what im saying?

Sorry i hope i didnt sound too harsh :o

Update: I've managed to get rid of some of the duplication on my phone,
I've made the following folder's:
SD-Card ->
media ->
audio ->
alarms ->
notifications ->
ringtones

and put all my music and ringtones in the ringtones folder.
I am now able to select any music as a ringtone, SMS or alarm.

When i add the Music shortcut to the screen and select it, It fail's to find any music. Is there a way of changing the path to a different folder?
