Help SD Card integration??

Serious question. Maybe clarification is what I need- Is there a way to integrate an sd-card, so its actually a part of the phone. Can it be an actual part of the phone to increase operating space??

Lots can be found by simply performing a search on the forum.

[Guide] Partition SD Card (for more user storage)

Thanks, bud. I've partitioned 2gb of a 16gb class 10 and everything that can be moved has been(or linked). But Gmail and Google search force close at reboot. I was wondering if the SD could be used to increase RAM in some way? Maybe put actual processes on it, or is that beyond the capabilities of the device?

Yeah I don't think you can actually merge the internal memory with the SD card.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm jumping the gun trying to get more out of the technology. I'm still looking for the "Android for beginners" book too. The search continues...:-)
Edit- So after more research on the subject, it turns out what I was trying to describe was making an ext4. Not sure if the phone can do it, or if the kernel will accept it. Its Anthony's kernel if anybody knows that info.
