SD card issues

So I've had this phone for a while n been reasonably satisfied with it considering its a cheap Korean manufacturer up until now.

It started my gosms froze up n I tried restarting the phone to unfreeze and it froze halfway through startup so I popped the battery out then back in and turned it back on then my screenshot and camera wouldn't work giving me a message to the tune of "camera is not working please mount storage device" but my pictures and music were still there and storage tab under settings showed the card was mounted.

Again I restarted

Now everything's gone and my camera freezes anytime I open it. Any suggestions other than my inclination to search out a very large heavy hammer?

Hopefully you have a laptop with an sd card reader.

Take the sd card out of the phone and put it in the laptop's sd card reader.

Find the drive letter it assigned to the sd card.

Open the cmd window on the laptop.

Type:
chkdsk /F /X driveletter:

Ex: chkdsk /F /X f:

Then hit enter.

Well. Since posting yesterday pretty much everything app-wise has stopped working and just pulls up a blank screen with the app name at the top n freezes. I even did a factory reset n I'm still having the same slowdown freeze up crap.

Do I have a virus or is my phone just done for?

OK thought I'd throw an update:
SD card is the issue. Removed it and everything started working again.

As for the chkdsk on the card here's what it said:

>C:\users\chris_000>chkdsk /F /X e:
>The type of file system is FAT32.
>Volume serial number is 9016-4EF8
>Windows is verifying files and folders...
>21 percent completed.
>C:\users\chris_000>

Any information based off of that?

21% completed doesn't look like it actually finished. Are sure that was the end?

It would normally state that it either fixed some things or found no problems.

It just stops there at the 21% line Sits for a few then that last line shows meaning its waiting for its next command. Never shows any other percentage or text.

I'm almost positive its a virus at this point. when I plugged the card into the computer all my pictures and music n whatnot came up. But something keeps drastically reducing the transfer speed when I try to copy files to save. Starts at a speed of bout 3-400 KB/s and than gradually but rather quickly decreases to 5 B/s than jumps up to 4 mb/s and starts dropping again.

The 21% is odd.

I would try to copy the entire card to the pc then format the card.
You should also purchase a new card as the one you have could be near its end.
