How long ago, or better asked, how old is the Note 10.1? I ask because sometimes the sd slot will need a bit of cleaning to keep the little spring in there from not seating with a push of the card.

Some use a pin, VERY carefully. ;) Some use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab ("Q-Tip") and some, like me, use a "dust buster" type of vacuum cleaner with a small attachment that narrows the vacuum intake to about an inch. After vacuuming the port I then use the rubbing alcohol on cotton because it thoroughly evaporates.

Be sure also to take a close look at the card itself for dirt or even damage (hopefully no damage, but the tips can get little burrs on them if dropped or moved in and out of the port/slot too roughly, etc).

Hi,
I had a similar problem. In my case, all what was needed, was pushing the Sim or SD card a little bit further in until you get the sense of it clicking in.
I use the sharp corner on the end of the tablet pen , which pushes the card just this little bit further in.
Make sure you put the card in nice and square. Hope this helps.
Cheers,

When I inserted the 64GB Micros SD card I bought at B&H, I needed to use an instrument of sorts (used a ball point pen with the tip retracted) to push the card far down enough for it to "CLICK" or "CATCH" into place.

That was my 1st thought--sd card isn't being inserted enough so it's not "clicking" into place.

I bought the same card and had the same problem.

You just need to somehow push it further in, as others have said, using a knife blade or cocktail stick. It will click when it's seated properly.

I ask a question about getting the card to seat a couple of months ago. The problem I had was pushing it in. What people suggested is that if my microSD card came with an SD adaptor to use the SD adaptor. I find it works well.
