Help sd card not installed

My moto g3 keeps telling me that the sd card is missing. Almost at least once a day. I then have to pull the card and re-insert it until the next day, when I get the same message.

No, I don't. The card that is in the phone is a 32gb card. It will work for a day or a couple of days and then all of a sudden it isn't recognized by the phone. I do a hot swap (pull it out and insert it again, without turning the phone off) and then the phone recognizes it again for a while. When it first happened I turned the phone off pulled the card and inserted it again, then turned the phone on again, but had to do that three or four times before it would be recognized by the phone. A hot swap works right away. I only have about 3gb of pictures and music on the card right now.

Did you check your SD card using apps like SD Insight to see if the card is genuine?

The card is genuine. It is a Sandisk Ultra, 32GB, microSDHC HC-I
So you should check your phone to see whether the SD card slot is malfunctioning.

If your believe that both phone and SD card are fine, backup your SD card's content and format it as Fat32, copy the content back to your card and insert it into the phone. Remember to Unmount the SD card before physically removing it next time.
