sd card only

w10 PC only shows SD card and not internal memory
i have set usb on my phone to mtp also ptp but only sd card comes up i want to see internal storage
please help
 
Some devices will refer to the internal memory as SD card memory.

There will usually be emulated, SD card, and then external SD card listed, with the first two being one and the same- internal memory.

hi only one card shows up on the pc the sd card on my phone it shows storage as internal shared storage is that the problem

that is most likely what is happening. if you formatted the card as internal, your sd card will be part of the phone's storage. it will not act like a normal sd card any more. the card will not work correctly if you take the card out of the phone.

keep in mind that this type of format will have extra wear and tear on the card as it read and writes as app begins to run. so i would backup things frequently. and i would make sure that google photos backs up and sync's. this way you do not have to worry about your photos.

cheers i have photos i wanted to see, on my phone they show up as a grid
when i open up the sd card on my pc dcim and camera i can see some photos i have
but not the grid photos any idea's why

cheers i don't want to put any more apps on my phone is there a pc utility
that will look at my phones contents
