SD Card Purchase

I'm looking to upgrade the amount of storage space I have on my Samsung Android phone. At the moment I'm thinking of getting a 16Gb Micro SD card, as this will allow me to store enough music and video for trips, as well as all photos I might take on my phone. Although, I could be persuaded to stretch to a 32Gb to 'future proof' (and because it sounds impressive!)

I've always bought SanDisc USB sticks and SD cards for my camera and have never had a bad experience. However, some of the Samsung Micro SD cards have caught my eye because of their claims of it's 'ruggedness' (see the link to play.com)

I'm also quite impatient, so I'm toying with the idea of putting a bit of extra money towards it and getting a Class 10 card. These are the two I'm looking at. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have a Sandisk 32gig class 6 card in my razr and it performs great. Class 10 cards are overkill. A class 6 card in a smartphone is all you need. Class 10 cards are really meant for HQ digital cameras.

Thanks for that Adauth. I suppose part of me just wants to buy the fastest card available. When it comes to 'future proofing' it might not really be that useful because the next phone I buy might already come with 16 or even 32Gb or storage built in. Thanks, I'll get looking into some slower cards.

Would you Class 6 is as slow as you would go?

Do you think I would notice the difference between Class 6 and Class 10 if I was copying large amounts of data from my laptop using a USB cable?
