SD Card Question

I have rather annoying SD Card saving question:

How do i know if a number is stored on my SD Card? I only ask because i recently got my Droid replaced

No worries, nothing realy wrong happened to it, just the power on/off button got like stuck, it worked fine just had to push it down kinda weird, anywhoo took it in to get looked at and my friend was ill just replace it and get a new one ! he works verizon, so got a new droid !

Anyways, i figured all my numbers were stored on the SD Card, but lo and behold i lost about 2-5 numbers, but the weird thing was, it saved like the name and profile, even the email, but not the number?? So i was wondering if i could see or find out which numbers were stored on the SD Card and which on the phone??!!

I'm not sure if the phone stores numbers on the SD card by default. When I wiped my phone I lost a few numbers because apparently I saved them as "phone contacts" as opposed to "Google contacts." Google contacts save to your Gmail account and sync when you sign in.

How do you differentiate between the two? It doesn't give me the option or am i not seeing it somehow??

On the Hero it gives you an option when you create a contact if you wan't it to be a phone or Google contact. Phone contacts are stored on you're internal memory, which was lost with your last phone. Google contacts are stored in the cloud, under your Google account. I can't find a way to change an existing contact between one or the other.

It doesn't do much to save your contacts, but it's a good idea to be sure to store contacts as Google contacts.
