Android Question

I have an Ascend Plus through StraightTalk. I had to reset my phone, and when I did I backed everything up to my sd card. I didn't use an app, when I went to reset it there was a button that said backup and when I pressed it, supposedly, it backed up to gmail and my sd card. When I tried to restore my stuff, my phone said no vCard was found. I can't find my things in my gmail storage, and on my sd card I can see the files. The image with those is a little document with a blue question mark on the corner, so I know they're on there. My pictures and music I can access fine, but they were already on my sd card. Not backed up to it. Anyone who can help, I would appreciate it. There is nothing incredibly important on there, but some of it is irreplaceable.
