Help SD Card stuck in 'Read Only'

My SD card for my Incredible is stuck in read only and plenty of the functions used with the sd card are not working. I cant move apps to sd, and some of the apps that are already stored on there dont work. How do I go about fixing this and is it simple??

Copy everything you can off of the SD card then format the card using a PC, copy everything back.
