i recently bought a android Prism it came with a pq1 2GB sd card i put some music and apps on it and it works just fine. a couple days later i got a Sandisk 16 GB sd card and whenever it mounts it says unavailable space. ive turned the phone off and on ive unmounted it and remounted it and still nothing works to make sure it wasnt the phone i put the 2 Gb back in and it works fine. What should i do?

Hi ghos1, and welcome to AF 
Does the card work in another device or computer? If you don't have a card reader, connect the phone to the computer and mount the card over usb ("disk drive" mode with some phones). Does the computer see it as a USB drive?
If not, my guess is that the card needs formatting. You can do that from the computer (format as fat32) or you should be able to using the phone itself if not (in the Storage menu - may have to unmount first). As it's a new card, no data loss to worry about.
