Android Question

Ok so Ive been reading the forums and it seems everyone has the same issue with their android. Well I have the note 2 and I get the same thing. My sd card will say it was unexpectedly removed and dismount. THEN it wipes all my files. Granted I only use it to hold my 3 bajilion pictures but its getting really annoying backing all of my stuff up and formatting the card and putting it all back on. Are all the files being wiped because the card crashed? Is it because I have a virus? Is anyone else having this problem? PLEASE HELP!!!!
