Help SD card unmounting/mounting problem

Is anyone having a problem with their SD card unmounting for no reason besides me? I am on the stock ICS Boost version of this phone.. I thought it might be something installed wrong... did a complete wipe of the phone and started over... still doing it... I have to pull the card and remount it periodically.. sometimes it unmounts as soon as I reinsert it and sometimes it doesn't do it until a day later... I have never had this problem before.. I am using a 16gb sd card on with a 1gb ext partition formatted on it... not sure what is unmounting the SD card but it has begun to be pretty darn annoying.. I have sometimes had this problem on one of my other phones just not as bad.. (original motorola droid).

Please let me know what you might suggest, the phone isn't even a week out of the box from the Boost Mobile Store... it is driving me crazy though... I won't be unlocking the bootloader and put CWM recovery on the phone until problem is resolved though... I was thinking of copying off what I have from the phone and reformatting it... but will this actually fix it? not sure... the sd card is also pretty new as well... about 2 months old if that... I had it for my LG Marquee but sold that to get this awesome little new phone...

Delete whatever partitions you have and try formatting the whole thing in fat32 with Minitool, may have some errors on it. then see if it works fine, and if it does then partition to your liking.

MiniTool Partition Wizard, the excellent magic for Windows.

My 32gb was acting a bit crazy one time, reformat fixed everything.

Hey thanks, I am definitely going to give the reformat a try. It was something I was thinking about doing.. just was a bit lazy to try it at first. But it makes sense that this could maybe exactly what I need to do to resolve this issue.
