Help SD card with restore

[SD Card with restore]

I want to do a factory restore on my S5 as it has no apps/pictures/movies or anything thay didn't come with the phone installed, yet I have no space on the phone. I have moved everything to my SD card. So my question is this, with all my apps on the SD card, after the restore is complete, will they be auto installed/function normally, or will I have to install them all again anyways? Thanks!

Entire apps cannot be moved to SD card. When you move an app to the SD card it only moves part of the app, usually some user data. Some apps cannot be moved to SD at all. You will need to reinstall all your apps after a reset.

In fact I'd expect the reset to wipe the .android_secure folder that the apps are (partially) moved to.

But even if you removed the card, as Crashdamage says only part of the app is moved, and none of the internal app data, so they will be effectively lost when you do the reset. Back up anything important before doing this and be ready to reinstall.
