Hi, I bought a HTC Desire in second hand, it was no sim card or SD card in it i bought a new SD card but how do i get those files that's needed to make it work. ?

The files to "make the phone work" should already be on the phone's internal memory. The SD card will only add additional storage. The SIM card enables the phone to connect to a carrier's network so you may make phone calls and have access to data. Those you must get from the carrier.
