Help SD Query?

Hello, I have just upgraded my phone from an HTC to the SG3 . The micro SD card fits both phones, so I have moved it into my SG3.

When i check the storage usage it is saying 3GB is in use. From my simplisitc logic that would mean all the apps, data, pics and videos etc are using this data. Now i know some of this will be the photos which I can view in my photo gallery, but i cannot see the apps

My main Q is about the apps that were held on the SD card and worked on my HTC phone. Is there a way i can clear this apps data off the phone without affecting the photos/videos and then just re-download the apps that I want on the SG3?

Also can anyone advise what is the best Apps 2 SD app as I have tried using a couple but they seem to permit moving the apps from phone storage to SD storage?

Use MyFiles application and just delete the folders with those apps on the SD card.

Starting with ICS apps can no longer be moved to the External SD without rooting the phone and using a rom that supports it. Google made the decision to remove that feature.
