sd wont mount

My sd card worked fine till i put an ext3 partition on there. On my laptop it only reads 3gb it which was the part i put on it. I tried to take the part of with same software but it wont show up to adjust it. In my computer i can see and edit the card. I can install zips from the card but on loading the phone no sd card to mount. In recovery i can mount and unmount.
Is it new sd card time.
im runnin muiu all was well but rom manager couldnt put in a part thats why i used pc software.

May be the way you added the ext3 partition and the steps unique to your phone.

Please let me know your make and model of phone, I'll move this to the right rooting section for you where you can get help from users of the same model, who have maybe tried this same thing.

The remainder of your card - as seen by /mnt/sdcard or its /sdcard shortcut, must be set up as FAT32 in Android, so far as I know.
