sdcard files to blob database

ah hi guys.

i'm just starting at Android development, and i need help for my app,
i'm thinking of getting files from a directory in sdcard and put this files in the database and the database will be used to my app. files are mostly media files and document files so i thought i need to save it as a blob database.

any help? thanks...

Seems like you'd be doubling the SD card storage requirements. Why can't you just use the files as they are on the SD card? Most database systems make it a real pain to use blob data types so avoid this whenever possible.

Are you wanting to make a snapshot of the SD card files at a particular point in time?

the main objective here is, i should have an app that is capable of loading files or data from the database and those data stored are media files and document files.

- i'm still looking for suggestions and help how to achieve that task.

the app is supposed to view only files from the database and not from the file manager.
