Sdcard & sdcard-ext

I want to know if I am correct about this. When I look at files using fx file app, I have these two file storage plus an internal area. I am assuming that the internal and the sdcard are the 16 gig fixed memory in the phone and the sccard-ext is the removable memory. Is this correct?

How does everyone use there sdcard-ext storage?

The reason I ask this is because all the apps I have that will allow you to set a manual path for files will not allow access to the sdcard-ext. Camera 360 & Zedge are two examples.

I have seen where you can move the files in settings/managa internal storage. I have moved pics and music files with this utility but I am assuming it is moving the files to the sdcard-ext storage but leaving a shortcut or thumbnail on the internal sd storage that the app picks up since the app will not allow a path to the sdcard-ext.

Does this make sense and am I correct in my assumption?

Is your sdext mounted? Sd ext is mounted as rw always thats weird try unmounting your sd ext and taking it out and reinserting it physically.

What do you mean my mounted?

When I view in fx file viewer its shown as:

/mnt/sdcard

/mnt/sdcard-ext

I am assuming mnt means mounted.
