SDK shows nothing

Hi

I am trying to execute the hello world application from here . when i run the project the SDK starts and only shows the "android" logo . would any one say what i am missing ??
N.B : I am running Eclipse in Ubuntu 10.04

here is the code i am using :

package demo.android;

import android.app.Activity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.widget.TextView;

public class HelloAndroidActivity extends Activity {
   /** Called when the activity is first created. */
   @Override
   public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
       super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
       TextView tv = new TextView(this);
       tv.setText("Hello, Android");
       setContentView(tv);
   }
}
