Hi there,

thanks in advance for looking at my message, what the problem seems to be is that iv manage to run a rom on my phone using the xrecovery system and busybox thing so i managed that first time, i did back up as now iv reverted back to the previous version as i didnt like the one i had, so im back to original now, problem being is that i seem to ave lost pictures and videos that i had on my x10 before i had used the rom? any ideas where they have gone to, i thought backing up the phone would mean that i had them backed up, the strange thing being is that i still had my background of me and the misses on there? so surely the images are somewhere?

would it be possible to let me know if i still have them on my phone and if so how can i retrieve these?

thanks again!

First you want to look to see if the phone is lying.

Usually if you phone was storing stuff on the SDCard, it will leave it behind.

But what it can do is it can hide files by creating a file called like .nofiles or something like that.

Either plug in the phone to your computer and mount it and take a look for your pics (or search) or download an app like Adao File Manager and search for it.

Once you find the folder with your pictures, look at all the files in the folder, and look for a hidden file or a file that isn't a .JPG or whatever format it saves the picture in and delete it.

What app are you using to view pictures?

Well in the folder that has all your pictures, there might be a file that isn't a picture...that is the one you want to delete.

Like if pictures are all in SDcard/DCIM/Camera/*.jpg

Look for any files in there that aren't .jpg If there is a file called .nomedia or something like that. That will prevent the app from actually searching through the folder.

Basically find the pictures on the phone.

Or plug it into your computer...mount the drive. Then search the entire drive for *.JPG (right click the drive letter from My Computer and Search)

I do not understand what you are saying.

Are you still looking for your pictures?

When you plug the phone into the computer and mount the drive. Then you right click on the F drive or whatever your computer identifies the drive as, and Search the F drive for JPG. Does it find anything?

I do not know what idchanger is or what your phone is doing.
