Search app added to flashlight app

This was discussed on another thread from December. Downloaded brightest flashlight app and now there is a new search app on my homepage. I deleted the flashlight app, but the search app is still there and I'm worried about malware, virus, etc.

Can someone walk a rookie through deleting this app?

As I know that search icon is just a link to a web site with advertising.

Shove the icon in the trash.
