Help Search by long-clicking on the menu button

I can't believe they took this away! Is there a way to get the ubiquitous search my phone or search within the currently open app that was in ICS? It could search evernote, and a lot of other apps that support the system wide search.

Actually, now they have it to search by swiping up from the home button

Great, but it doesn't search all my apps. Remember how ICS could search your evernotes, sms, emails, contacts, etc...?

Also the Google now slide up shortcut doesn't search the current app, it searches google. On ICS it would put the cursor in the currently open apps search, YouTube is one example.

Is bothers me that google is trying to AOLify everything. They're a search company!

I think there's a search button on the top right in the app list... idk i changed launchers but that may be what you're talking about

I remember what you're talking about Nintendo, but sadly I know of no way to get this feature back...
