Help Search "My Files" for Content?

Is there a way to search the files within the folders on my Galaxy Note 8.0/10.0 for file content, not just file names?

I.e., in Windows 7, you can enter in the search window

contents: bicycle

to find all the files that contain the word bicycle.

Not in the My Files, no.

You could try some other file explorers like ES File Explorer, maybe they will have that feature.

Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't search for content. I did try a few more apps, to no avail. If anyone knows of a file explorer that does search for content, please post.

since 4.2.2 ive been able to use the stock My Files to search for things. Prior to that i needed file explorer. With the update though it now searches names of files. Im a basketball card collector with over 2000 scans of my cards with file names. I couldnt search the names of the cards before but now I can. es file explorer should be able to find anything you want though from my experience.

The OP is looking for a file explorer that can look inside a file's content. Not just the file name. I am not aware of any Android explorer app that can do this. The closest is a wild card search of file names.
