Hi,
I study geography at the University of Bonn and work at the Fraunhofer Institute in Sankt Augustin. In my thesis I would like to measure the slope, inclination and/ or texture of sidewalks or streets by using smartphone sensors (gyroscope, accelerometer). The smartphone will be attached to a wheelchair during a measurement. I do not know much about sensors, and signal processing or similar. I am looking ideally for open source delivering polished data, ideally information on the slope, inclination in percentages, and/or texture or roughness of the sidewalk in some suitable measure, etc.
If you know opportunities, alternatives ways or other advice that are of possible interest to me. I would be thankful for any advice.
