Help Searching for service.

So since 6am eastern time, my esteem has been searching for service. My local metro store says i have to go to the corporate office and have them update my phone. Is there any pain free way i can fix this myself? I really don't want to make the drive to the co. thanks in advance.

Can't, stuck searching for service, can't make or get calls or texts

Turn off your phone then take out your uicc card put back in and turn phone back on see if that works
