I use the galaxy beam and have it at jelly bea. My understanding has gotten better. the phone rooted by using chainfires su binary that zip file is on my (extcard). Now there is the kitkat rom for the phone not yet download me think is not real but others who commented works. so I been at it and in order to get it. I need root (done that) + custom recovery clockwork to be exact so i can install rom manger from play store if that how the order is done. but clockwork recovery is done through odin and some that fail because I am stuck at boot loop. So using odin reflash back to jellybean at stock. Now here the kicker the su root will not install through stock recovery from external storage. 1. Do I need to transfer the zip from pc that I back up before to extcard again. 2. Do I need to download a revised version of S.U. if there is one. 3. what made the signed S.U not get install the second time. all this to try again soon.

I will try to help.

It sounds like you are missing a step. Try and think back to when you first rooted your device? How did you root it? In otherwords what process did you use to gain root access to your device. Was it a rooting app, a script, etc?

Only having Super User file by itself will not work. You need to utilize some other means to install the SU app into system of your device.

Think back to exact steps you followed when you first rooted. Hopefully you will identify the missing piece you are looking for.

If you could let us know what guide you are following we might be able to better follow your steps and the guide's steps and see where you went wrong, if at all :)
