Help Securing apps

If I let someone use my phone for a while (e.g. make a phone call), how can I prevent the person from reading messages e.g. whatsapp, sms, notes? Is there something like adding a password/fingerprint to apps before it can be opened, or maybe show another screen that do not have whatsapp, sms, notes app?
Thanks.

put the phone in safe mode. this will prevent them from using 3rd party apps like whatsapp. unfortunately there is no way of locking down certain apps like that. also make sure that you do not leave your phone unattended.

Use a separate profile on the device.

I am not sure if the device can be locked down so that one profile cannot access the other profile.

Certain devices have a 'guest mode' available.
This is the other profiles area.

The main profile, yours, is dominant.
There are provisions for multiple other profiles that each have their own set of apps (system app datas and any others that are installed in that profile).

The data between the apps in the profiles cannot be accessed except when using their respective profiles.

When this is no longer needed, the extra profile(s) can be deleted- which removes any data and 3rd party apps under that profile.

yep on the note 8 and most samsung flagship phones, muliple users functionality has been turned off. from what i have read is that the only way to do this is to modify the build.prop file. the only thing is that the phone needs to be rooted to do this.

God, Samsung always has to be so difficult.
My mother has always used them, and I absolutely hate trying to do anything with them.

I have had multiple different manufacturers over the years, and all of them have had the option for multiple users.

Once again, the simple fix is shot down by Samsung!
