security cam app

I have a security camera fitted to my house, with the vendor's app loaded on my phone. This works fine, but when I am working from home, I wanted to have the option of viewing the camera on a larger PC screen.
I was hoping I could just download the same app on my PC, and then run it on my PC, but when I try to download the same app, or any other cam app, the option is greyed out.
Can anyone suggest if this is possible, and if so, how I do it please.

You cannot run apps made for Android on a pc such as a windows device.
There are windows applications that will run virtual Android os on a pc, such as bluestacks...

what security camera do you have? i have Ring and it allows you to look thru the camera on any web browser......so maybe try going to their website and sign in....if that is possible.

To add on to @ocnbrze 's answer: maybe check the manual for something like a "web interface" or "browser interface".
Lots of these cameras offer their own user interface, accessible from within your home network.
It usually doesn't take much more than accessing the camera by its IP to get to some form of login page.
You know, similar to how you access your router.

ok thanks for the info
not sure of the make of the camera, but the app is called 'CamHipro', which is smartphone based.
This all works fine, it's just the potential option of a PC, as I have this open anyway, when I am working from home.
Perhaps I'll just get up and check the front door when the dogs start barking..

Seems to be a cheap, chinese no-name camera... at least that's what a quick google search indicates.
I guess your most promising option would be to do what @Dannydet suggested and install the app on bluestacks.
