Security Policy Update

Hi

I just upgraded to a brand new Samsung Galaxy s4 yesterday and was fine until today.

I have the message above on my notifications and when i click install i get Update failed due to network issue. I have tried on Wifi and mobile internet and still the same result. Both wifi and mobile internet works so the network is fine as far as i know.

when i click cancel this stops for a wee bit the starts again in the notifications.

Can someone help as this is really annoying.

Is it trying to do an Android system update? I've had that a couple of times, it says there's a software update, tries to do the download and fails, "network issue" But then do it the next night and goes through fine. Might been because the update servers were having problems at the time. How long has it been going on for trying to do the update?

Try doing the software update with Samsung Kies on your PC rather than OTA.

I've ticked the WiFi only box in Software update, to prevent it from doing software updates via the cellular network.

i have tried it numerous times with network failed. i have tried kiss and the update is the same as kies says.

I walked in to phones4u and the guy said it was a samsung update (they changed the way they are updating) and have not fully updated their servers but will do it so hopefuly in the next few days it will work. The guy in the shop has the same problem with his and it is only on S4's he said. Also he said to come back in a few days (maybe a week i was thinking) if it does not work.

For me it has nothing to do with facebook or whatsapp app as some people say as it was up before i had these installed.

Bit of progress at least (hopefully)
