Root Security?

Which security program do you use for your Triumph if any at all? Well I use Trustgo Mobile Security and I am quite happy with it. It has many great features and does not seem to affect my phone in a negative way at all. The fact that it is free is just icing on the cake.

I use Avast because it's free, has great detection rates, a firewall, can block numbers, auto-updates, and has anti-theft capabilities.

I currently don't run an anti-virus/spy on my phone because they (avg and avast) kept heckling me when I needed root access. It would be a nice feature to have since smartphones are essentially little computers that should have the same protection. But for as much messing with my phone that goes on (for many root users I assume) it is simple enough to just revert back to you most recent CWR backup and restore your apps (with whatever app you use) if something goes really wrong.

I don't use any security software other than SeekDroid- have it set up to locate/remote lock/remote wipe both via the interweb & by sms (a little safer in case someone turns off data). I do make it a point to only use wifi if I trust it- I think a public unsecured wireless connection is definitely a risk without some kind of firewall protection. I'm also pretty careful about what apps I download- if you grab apps from anywhere and/or mess with bootleg stuff, you'd be smart to get some kind of security app...

I recently started using trust go.

It found viruses that avg and avast never detected, and keeps me 100% protected now

Question to the OP, were you talking about antivirus/spam/adware or anti-theft? Or both? I already plead my case w/ antivirus apps. In terms of anti-theft I have previously used "Where's my droid" more for if I loose my phone than if somebody steals it since I only used the free version, but the paid has locking capabilities.

VM offers a free app with locking tools on the market called "Virgin Mobile Rescuer"

Just recently I'm playing with "Android Lost" which does all of the above plus remote pop up messages on phone, remote picture taking with front and rear cameras, and remote wipe. Looking forward to testing this out. Market. Website.
