A+ case. I liked it so much, that I got another one for the wifes EVO. My wife, who is pregnant and a bit sensitive to smells said her case smells. When I took a whiff holy crap did it smell. I swapped mine for hers. Mine has the same smell but it isn't as strong.

Hers (now on my phone) is so strong I can smell it on the desk. It's on my hands. It smells a little bit like goodyear cologne.

also the bottom corners dont sit quite right. cosmetic but still has that early build look.

The smell will go away after a few days.Mine smelled at first also but it's damn near gone now.

Mine had no smell, weird they differ from case to case. I did notice the bottom clips are not 100% perfect like the tops, but it still works and looks fine.

its definitely an assault on the senses the first time you really smell it

Could be first run is out of bridge tooling and are poured/cast Urethane, potentially Silicone. Tooling could be made from an SLA pattern, while Injection molding tooling can be developed. Nothing wrong with doing so, I know I've done it.

They shall smell until fully outgassed, could also be the release agent used (PVA can stink sometimes). It shall pass in a couple weeks if left in the open. I'm guessing Silicone, since it can smell like alcoholic brownies.

May Body Glove case for my hero had a distinctive "rubber/plasticy" smell that was kinda strong...
