Help Selecting contact crashes the contacts app

ccgoogins

Lurker
Every time I try to select a contact, the app crashes and I get the following error message - "Sorry! The application Contacts Storage (process com.motorola.contacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again... Force Stop". This started out of no where. I didn't do anything new to my phone. How can I fix this without losing my contact list.

(I've tried to research this. There are similar descriptions out there, but I can't follow them. Can someone give me a simple answer???... Thanks!)

that is so weird. the same thing happened to me and i plugged it in to my computer to scan for file system errors and it said everything was fine. im very glad i came across your post because uninstalling that hotmail app worked for me as well. i actually sign up for adroidforums.com just 5 minutes ago (right after reading your post) just to say thanks and to confirm it worked for me as well. i would have never guessed this would be the case but i did noticed that "hotmail" seemed to stop showing up when i would tap "share" on a picture and i do have my old hotmail account as a contact but like i said, i would have never guessed that would be the case.
