Help Selecting default keyboard

Okay guys I have a problem everytime I setup my default keyboard then I turn my phone off and back on it's reset the default keyboard back to its standard keyboard. How can I get it to stop doing this? Please help.
 
So do you set it as default by Settings>Language and Input>Default Keyboard or do you just select it from the pulldown everytime? :p

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but Before you root your phone, you should learn the basic settings first, you don't know how to turn off the connections manager, or pick a default keyboard, but want to root and do other things that can possibly brick your device. A word of advice from me to you, is read the whole all-things-root section before attempting to root your phone

I already have. I owned the prevail, rooted it, themed it, took cm 7 and modified it. But this phone it's slightly different. But again thank you for the advice
 
See the problem I'm having with this is after I set up the default still no matter what I do every start the phone it goes back to asking for the default launcher. Same with keyboard. Every time.
