Help Self camera appears upside down in some apps

I was using the camera with the built in camera app and Cameramx and it was working fine (except for the bad quality of pics, but i think that's just the way the phone was made). But then i used Cartoon Camera and ever since then, the self camera has been displaying and taking pictures upside down in Camera MX (but not the built in camera). I have uninstalled Cartoon Camera, cleaned out cache, and yes I've tried flipping the phone but it still remains upside down and there is no option to reverse this. Any pointers?

I think this is a ZTE problem. Also happens on ZTE Warp Sequent. Plus side is that the video/photos seem to come through like normal, at least between two ZTE's that have the problem

Skype example:
Sequent to Laptop - the sequent's video shows upside down on laptop
Sequent to Force - video appears correctly on both devices
